At Nature's Lab, we're committed to quality our customers can trust. In this week's blog, we take a look behind the scenes and inside the lab with our R&D manager, John Grady, and his passion for nutritional science. Let's delve into John's journey, expertise, and insights as we explore the world of nutritional innovation.

What Can You Tell Us About Yourself?

I have a passion for nutrition and science, which is what led me to my current role at Nature's Lab. I enjoy working on challenging projects and finding innovative solutions to create high-quality dietary supplements. Outside of work, I value my personal time, staying active, and spending time outdoors.

What can you tell us about your role?

As the R&D Manager, my role is crucial in developing and overseeing the creation of dietary supplements. My team and I work together to design, formulate, and test new products. Ensuring that our supplements meet the highest quality standards and are backed by rigorous scientific research is a top priority in my position.

Which of our company values best describes you?

Quality. I take pride in my work, and I am dedicated to creating formulas that are of the highest quality, supported by credible scientific evidence. The pursuit of excellence is something that drives me, and I strive to ensure that our products genuinely benefit our customers' health and well-being.

What vitamins do you take on a daily basis?

My personal supplement routine incorporates various supplements including Liposomal Vitamin C, rTG Fish Oil, B-Complex, Multi-Mineral, Vitamin A, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, and Creatine.

What sparked your interest in your role at Nature's Lab?

I've always had a profound interest in nutrition and its impact on human health. Joining Nature's Lab allowed me to combine my passion for science and nutrition with the opportunity to develop supplements that genuinely make a positive difference in people's lives. I find the process of creating these supplements akin to an art, where science and creativity merge to produce products that help improve individuals' health and well-being.

What's an important project you take pride in that you’ve helped with at Nature's Lab?

One of the projects I take immense pride in is the development of our Algal Oil Omega 3 product. Derived from Algae and being one of the only natural sources of DHA and EPA that is vegan, this supplement offers superior bioavailability of omega-3 fatty acids compared to traditional fish oil, while promoting sustainability and environmental friendliness. (Note to readers: stay tuned for the release of this exciting new supplement).

What changes do you envision in Nutritional Science in the next five years?

In the next five years, I anticipate significant advancements in nutritional science. The industry will likely experience notable strides in improved bioavailability, allowing our bodies to better absorb nutrients from supplements and food alike. Additionally, I foresee a rise in personalized nutrition, where individuals can receive tailored supplement recommendations based on their unique needs, genetics, and health goals.

What Do You Do to Unwind?

To unwind and recharge, I prioritize physical activity and spending time outdoors. Engaging in regular workouts helps me clear my mind and stay healthy, while being in nature allows me to find tranquility amidst a busy work schedule.

Do you take your work home? What steps do you follow to ensure a healthy work-life balance?

I make a conscious effort to avoid taking work home whenever possible. Maintaining a healthy work-life balance is essential to me, as it allows me to recharge and be fully present in both my personal and professional life. To ensure this balance, I focus on effective time management during working hours, prioritizing tasks, and setting clear boundaries to prevent work from encroaching on my personal time. This way, I can fully engage in activities outside of work and maintain a fulfilling life overall.

What three products would you suggest for a friend to incorporate into their routine?

While the specific recommendations would depend on my friend's health needs and goals, I generally believe that a quality Liposomal Vitamin C, Vitamin D3, and Magnesium Glycinate can offer valuable benefits for most individuals.
