This hearty entree of all-natural beef, classically creamy mashed potatoes, and a rich beef gravy was designed for one thing: to satisfy your hunger, no matter where your favorite activities take you. To prepare one cup, mix 2 cups of boiling water with 1 cup of dry ingredients. Stir well, cover and let sit for 15 minutes, stir again, and dig in.

Another great side item from Backpacker’s Pantry. These Bacon flavored mashed potatoes are vegetarian, using a flavored soy protein for the bacon texture and flavor. They combine potato flakes with soy bacon, real cheddar cheese, buttermilk, sour cream, and salt for a delectable dish that is sure to please everyone’s pallet. Simply add one cup of boiling water, directly to the pouch, stir, and let sit for ten minutes. Then enjoy! This great tasting product, along with most other Backpacker’s Pantry pouches, have a shelf life of twenty fiveyears, is lightweight, and convenient. It has eight grams of protein per serving and is another of our lower sodium offerings. Enjoy it as a meal itself, or a side item to any of our other meals. INGREDIENTS: POTATOES, SOY BACON (TEXURED VEGETABLE PROTEIN [SOY FLOUR, CARAMEL COLOR], PARTIALLY HYDROGENATED SOYBEAN OIL, SALT, NATURAL FLAVORING), CHEDDAR CHEESE (CHEDDAR CHEESE (MILK, SALT, CHEESE CULTURES, ENZYMES), WHEY, BUTTERMILK, SALT, DISODIUM PHOSPHATE)

CONTAINS: Milk and Soy

PREPARATION & STORAGE:
PREPARING 1 CUP DRY MIX:
1.) Remove oxygen absorber from contents and discard,
2.) Thoroughly mix contents
3.) Add 1 cup (240mL) of boiling water to 1 cup of dry ingredients
4.) Stir well, fully submerging ingredients
5.) Cover and let sit for 13 minutes
6.) Stir and serve

PREPARING THE ENTIRE CAN
1.) Remove oxygen absorber from contents and discard
2.) Thoroughly mix contents
3.) Add 13 cups (3L) of boiling water to dry ingredients
4.) Follow steps 4 through 6 above

PLEASE NOTE: Check the can before consumption to ensure there are no punctures. Rehydration time doubles every 5,000 feet of elevation gain. Our directions are set for 5,000 feet.

STORAGE & HANDLING INSTRUCTIONS: The following storage instructions will ensure the maximum shelf life of this Backpacker’s Pantry product. **DO NOT OPEN CAN UNTIL READY TO SERVE** Once the can is open, contents should be consumed within seven days. In between consumption, reclose the can with the plastic lid provided. Store at room temperature (70°F) or below. The lower the temperature of storage, the longer the shelf life will be. Temperatures of freezing or lower (˜32°F) should be avoided as it may affect the integrity of the can. Cans should be stored OFF the floor in a dry, well ventilated area.
